FAQs

General questions

what is included with registration?

All classes come with all class material a booklet or manual and certification. Depending on the location snacks and beverages are provided as well.

All certifications are valid for at least 3 years.

How large are the classes?

Class sizes vary depending on location and number of registrations. To ensure personal attention to every participant’s needs I stay at no more than 20 students. Rarely I will consider going over if I am able to bring in a second instructor or know some my students in advance.

Can I just show up? How does enrollment work?

I need prior enrollment to ensure appropriate class sizes and to know how much of my material, how many manuals and certificates to bring.
Enrollment can be done right here on my website or by contacting me or the respective host.

Can I earn continuing education credit?

Most of our courses qualify for continuing education with IAABC, PATH Intl. and EAGALA.

I am pretty flexible but at a minimum I need the following at every host location:

  • An indoor or covered area, ideally with a power outlet (can be a barn aisle for equine)

  • EQUINE ONLY one reliable, patient horse per four students

  • EQUINE ONLY area to work safely with horses (outdoors or barn aisle depending on weather)

How do i schedule a class?

  1. Pick a class.

  2. Pick a date from my availability calendar.

  3. Let me know what you picked.

  4. Wait for me to confirm (usually within 2 business days).

  5. You are scheduled.

How is the event advertised?

I will create a signup page on my website, an event with you as the co-host on Facebook and flyers. The event will also be listed on the Equi-First Aid USA website.
From there we will spread the word through social media and other channels

What about liability?

The course content is insured through corporate and I carry professional liability insurance. All participants are required to sign my liability waiver and I recommend to have the host facility waiver signed as well.
